The BC Cancer Agency’s Trev & Joyce Deeley Research Centre, located within the Vancouver Island Centre, has distinguished itself in its first six years as a leading cancer immunology research centre. Led by Dr. Nelson, researchers here are studying several promising ways to use a person’s immune system to combat cancer. The transformed Centre will help scientists explore new ways to prevent and treat individuals with cancer.
