Boulevard Magazine donates $25,000 to BC Cancer Foundation

December 1, 2009, Victoria, BC—Boulevard Magazine has announced a donation of $25,000 to the BC Cancer Foundation’s Inspire the World campaign to help with new and innovative patient and family support programs and research at the BC Cancer Agency’s Vancouver Island Centre.
“This year charitable organizations need community support more than ever,” said John Simmons, President of Boulevard Lifestyles Inc. “This holiday season, rather than sending gifts to clients, we at Boulevard Magazine are making this donation to the BC Cancer Foundation’s Inspire the World campaign.”

The $10 million Inspire the World campaign will see the construction and renovation of 10,000 square feet in the BC Cancer Agency’s Vancouver Island Centre to create a state-of-the-art patient and family support centre, a predictive cancer research centre and a radiation innovation wing.
 
“Boulevard Magazine has been a long-time supporter of the BC Cancer Foundation, but this year, they have gone above and beyond,” said Laura Walsh, Inspire the World Campaign Director.  “We greatly appreciate their generosity and are honored they have chosen the BC Cancer Foundation as their charity of choice this year.”
